BioInspired by yesterday's cancer scare to document my abundantly blessed life. I am fine. But I can stand to live more fully.
I'm a forty-something belly dancing auntie who has spent way too little time on the other gifts of my life: painting, cooking, just CREATING. Gemini poster child. Decent job as a private label kids' clothing designer for a major corporation. Never expected to be doing that, always thought I would be in the field of creative science education. I own an awesome little house with my love-of-my-life hubby and two fantastic cats, old guy Thomas (a stray tux cat I scraped off the road -- just about literally -- 10 years ago; rather ancient fellow, we think he's around 17 years old; his name is frequently followed by "the tank engine", he's also known as "Biscuit") and fresh 5-year-old James (ginger tabby, alias "the Kitten", "Bunny" or "Tail Tip").
The mermaid is my muse; I crave the ocean. Leopard prints are my I.D.; hubby and I are a great match as his identifier is zebra patterns. Needless to say, you can imagine how striped and spotted our home decor can get (right down to the mailbox... and my tattoo!). Day lilies and lavender make me very, very happy.
